Good Food at a Furniture Store?

Do you expect to find food in a furniture store? Well, asides from their furniture business, IKEA also has a restaurant. However, do not be daunted by the IKEA Restaurant. For a restaurant, the prices are ridiculous, and I mean ridiculous in a good way.
Depending on how much you eat, expect to spend around $10 for average portions of food. Where else can you get half a rack of baby back ribs with fries and cornbread for only $6.99? Unfortunately, that deal is only available on Wednesdays. However, you can …

[Reflection] A month now gone, see you next year, OC Fair!

In my previous post about the OC Fair, I mentioned that I would not be attending the 2011 fair. However, by chance yesterday, my cousin had free tickets and invited me to go with her in the evening.
It was an interesting experience attending the fair and knowing that the month of the fair has quickly flown by with only a few hours remaining until the the fair’s lights would be out and the crowd empty until next summer. According to my cousin, who attended the fair many days already, last …

It’s Officially Summer with the #OCFair !

The #OCFair Is Here!
I love living  in Southern California! We have one of the best climates and SUMMER isn’t complete with the arrival of the Orange County Fair! Year after year the Orange County Fair gets better and better! This year they have amped their speakers with the theme of “The Beat Goes On” emphasizing their continuing support of the Fair Grounds and a great concert series including top performers such as Train, Adam Lambert, and John Legend.
What I love about going to the fair is that it brings a whole community …

Follow up: OC Largest Business Mixer 2009

Let’s be honest, networking is not our forté and intense sales people intimidate us-but that didn’t stop the VitaminOC staff from attending the OC Largest Business Mixer Wednesday night. Patrick, Justin and I went outside of our comfort zone to promote VitaminOC.com and meet the people from the OC business community.
At first we were overwhelmed by the magnitude of this event. There where over 3,000 OC business people in attendance! We felt awkward to be there, but once we went around the building and picked up some food & snacks, we decided to get …

)(urley $5 Sample Sale THIS Friday!

Last Friday, the Vitamin OC Staff went to the Hurley Headquarters in Costa Mesa for a sample sale!  We were able to grab hoodies, jackets, board shorts, dresses, and graphic tees for only $5 or $10 a piece!  We dug through boxes and boxes of rejected, but cute prototypes, samples, and more of various seasonal lines!  Not only were we able to score awesome deals on some sweet items, but most of these clothes never made it into stores, so each piece is somewhat one-of-a-kind.
Don’t miss out on this Friday’s …
