Mark the end of the field show season with the Savanna Field Tournament. Traditionally hosted on the last weekend of Field Show season, the Savanna Marching Rebels are hosting their 34th Annual Field Tournament this Saturday, November 19. Starting from 9 A.M., 35 bands will be competing throughout the day, not counting the exhibition performance by Savanna High School.

It is the middle of marching band season, and this weekend is the Loara High School’s Band Review and Invitation Field Tournament. From my knowledge, this is probably the biggest band review and field tournament in Orange County, with 39 bands participating in the band review and 24 bands in the field tournament.
The first band to perform in the band review is scheduled for 10:55 A.M. while the last band is scheduled for 2:04 P.M. Awards for the band review will be at Glover Stadium at 3:15 P.M. during a …

Come out and experience 75 years of an Anaheim tradition with the annual Anaheim Spooktacular Halloween Parade and Fall Festival this Saturday, October 29 at Center Street Promenade in Downtown Anaheim. Starting from 11 A.M. and running until 9 P.M., enjoy a full day of Halloween fun with a costume contest, trick-or-treating, pumpkins, food, and the traditional Anaheim Halloween Spooktacular Parade. There’s trick-or-treating as well so expect candy!

Marching band season traditionally starts in Orange County with the John F. Kennedy High School Field Tournament. A tradition started by Magnolia High School over three decades ago, John F. Kennedy High School 11th Annual Invitational Field Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 8 at Glover Stadium in Anaheim. Named the “Preview of Champions,” local marching bands from around Southern California come to showcase their talents. This year, the field tournament will be showcasing 25 high school’s band and color guard units.

Walk at the happiest place on earth on Sunday, October 16, 2011 for the 21st annual CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort. Proceeds from the walk will support the care, education, and research at CHOC, and as CHOC is expanding their services so is the number of children they are helping.

With Halloween coming, be prepared for Halloween events and a lot of scare. Between September 30 to October 31 on selected days at 7 P.M., enjoy a month of evening scare at The Empty Grave at Anaheim Gardenwalk. Expect 50,000 square feet of terror featuring state of the art special effects, live actors, and animatronics. This event is open to all ages, but younger audience, beware, because you are in for an intense scare.

Yesterday, at 2:10 P.M. around 50 UCLA students gathered in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and showed their Bruin pride by performing the 8 Clap twice.
Now, how did this the idea for this event come to be, and what pushed this idea to become a reality?
UCLA Bruins have shown their school pride as far away as Las Vegas by performing their 8 Clap in front of the Bellagio Fountain. Inspired by that event, Aldrin Gamos wanted to bring the Bruin spirit a bit closer than Vegas.

Did you attend the OC Food Fest last year at the Honda Center in Anaheim? Well, this year’s 2nd Annual OC Foodie Fest is coming back bigger and better than last year!
The 2011 OC Foodie Fest will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 12 P.M.-6 P.M. at Angels Stadium.
There will be over 150 food trucks, live music and entertainment, cooking demonstrations, eating contests, and vendors. I can’t say much since I haven’t attended before, but I can tell you that you can expect to have a lot of fun!
