Walk for CHOC

Walk at the happiest place on earth on Sunday, October 16, 2011 for the 21st annual CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort. Proceeds from the walk will support the care, education, and research at CHOC, and as CHOC is expanding their services so is the number of children they are helping.
Every step counts. Form a team with your school or student group, and if that option is not available, register to walk as an individual. And if you cannot make it on the 16th, you can register …

However, the Orange International Street Fair was so successful that instead of being a one-time event, it became an annual event celebrated during the Labor Day weekend.
Held between Glassell Street and Chapman Avenue from Friday to Sunday of Labor Day weekend, over half a million people pay a visit to the fair to experience food, arts and crafts, and entertainment from fifteen cultures around the …

It’s Not About You

I just returned from a business conference with some of my FBLA students. This year’s keynote speaker, Cary Trivanovich, had a very short and yet very different message compared to all the speakers I’ve heard speak at these conferences in the past, and there couldn’t have been any better time for the students to hear it. Most speakers seem to focus on improving yourself or motivating you to succeed.

The final words of his speech, “It is not about you.”
This post isn’t about the conference or my students, though. Rather, it’s …

Follow up: So Cal Action Sports Network Meetup

On  the afternoon of March 26th, the Vitamin OC staff  and CSUF Phi Beta Lambda went to the Oakley Headquarters in Lake Forest to volunteer at the  Chris Brogan meet up-hosted by the So Cal Action Sports Network.
As we approached the building , we were in awe of the unique architecture of the Oakley building.  We couldn’t decide whether it looked more like a spaceship or a CIA secret hideout that you only see in the movies.  The inside of the building was even more intriguing. We never imagined to find  brass …

Where Have We Been?

Yes, we know we haven’t had any updates in a few days. The VitaminOC staff is very involved in an organization called FBLA-PBL, and this weekend was their California State Business Leadership Conference. From preparing for competition to coordinating the events for the entire weekend, the staff members have been both short on time and short on sleep.
On the other hand, it was also a successful weekend for VitaminOC. Many awards were won by VitaminOC staff, along with other students from Cal State Fullerton, Fullerton College, and UC Irvine, …
