#HealPhilippines Benefit Show TONIGHT!

There’s this Tagalog phrase, “ISANG BAGSAK!” which you’ll hear a lot of the Filipino clubs shout in solidarity.  It means “One Fall”.  We’ve seen the Filipino-American community come together all across America to provide relief for the people affected by Typhoon Ondoy and everything that has followed after.  We’ve seen the whole YouTube community come together to raise money through uStream shows, benefit concerts pop up all over the place, people donate money for each of their Twitter followers, food/clothing drives – you name it, it’s happened over the past …

#OCstr: Through the Eyes of a Commuter

Time: 6:27 AM .Monday Morning.
Place: Bed.
Current Mood: Sleepy.
All of a sudden the sound of the alarm goes off and it’s time to wake up, but you get that feeling of having the weight of the world upon you. You take 7 min to get all your 5  [or 6] senses aligned and you slowly prepare yourself for today’s challenges. You’re becoming AWAKE, you turn on the television and switch it to your local news [KTLA Morning News for me] and you see the traffic report… oh yes you hear the …

TONIGHT: Titan Radio’s “Asian Persuasion Show” Premiere!

The first show of it’s kind anywhere in the nation!  One of Titan Radio’s very own flagships, “The Asian Persuasion Show” has it’s big Fall premiere tonight at 7pm on www.titanradio.org!  We did a great interview with it’s host, M. Meow that we’ll share later, but in the meantime, you MUST tune in tonight.
There is a pretty amazing somewhat “under the radar” music scene that Asian American musicians have created all on their own.  We need shows like The Asian Persuasion Show as a platform to promote, expose and share …

Save the Asian American Studies Department at CSUF!

I don’t know what to say.  There are a lot of things happening at CSU and UC systems right now that aren’t making us very happy.  Let’s not let the Asian American Studies department be another casualty to the everlasting “budget crisis”, alright Titans?  Check in the catalog to see how these classes can cover your credits, because they can!  If you’ve ever taken either of these classes, or want to say something about the department, please share below in the comments!  Pass the info along to anyone you think …

From Orange to Orange >> A Roadtrip to Squeeze the Juice Out of Life!

As students, studying about the world and all of it’s contents in the classroom is never quite enough to give us a vivid picture of life and all that’s to be desired.  We want to see and experience things ourselves before we buy into the images that are fed to us.  So, we study abroad, backpack through Europe, blah blah blah, you know the drill.  Often, we look so far outside of ourselves for answers, that we forget to keep it close to home.  The question is: what is the …

TITAN HOUSE!

Look out Omaha! The TITANS are coming!
Haha, okay it’s a bit early to really say whether the CSUF Titans will be going to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.  Yesterday, Utah got a taste of the Titan offensive power with a 18-2 win in the Regional opening game. On his own, Jered Clark had four hits and 3 runs driven in!
This year, CSUF is going for its 7th consecutive Regional Championship. I am confident that going for lucky number 7 wont be too hard for the Titans! We currently …
