There are plenty of food options in Old Town Seal Beach, but if you want to get more of the quiet homey feeling of this place, stop by the Old Town Cafe on Main Street, open daily since 2003 for breakfast and lunch from 7 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.
From the outside, you can already guess a cozy home atmosphere. Open the door and the server will greet you and tell you to seat yourself at one of the tables covered with a plastic vinyl tablecover. Look around at the bright …

If you are a fan of meat, then you will probably like Korean BBQ. Gather with a group of family and friends, and enjoy the meat that you get to grill yourself, right on the table you are sitting at! The types of meat you can choose from depends on the menu, but the basic menu contains brisket, sliced beef or pork, and chicken, some of which are marinated. Of course, the meat is not all you get—there is also rice, salad, and side dishes. I am not familiar with …

Do you expect to find food in a furniture store? Well, asides from their furniture business, IKEA also has a restaurant. However, do not be daunted by the IKEA Restaurant. For a restaurant, the prices are ridiculous, and I mean ridiculous in a good way.
Depending on how much you eat, expect to spend around $10 for average portions of food. Where else can you get half a rack of baby back ribs with fries and cornbread for only $6.99? Unfortunately, that deal is only available on Wednesdays. However, you can …

Oktoberfest is an annual 16-18 day festival held from late September to early October in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The festival was held for the first time on October 12, 1810, celebrating the marriage of the Bavarian King, Max Joseph, who later become King Ludwig I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. With the exception of war years and other misfortunes, Oktoberfest has been celebrated annually, and today, it is the largest festival in the world, drawing over six million visitors.
If you are unable to go to Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest, don’t …

Many times, we are up at night, hungry, wondering what to eat, wondering what is open. Living in La Palma, an area with no nightlife, most places within a few miles are closed by evening. An exception to that though is Guppy Teahouse in Cerritos, which is not in Orange County. However, there are two locations in Orange County, and all their locations, excluding their other Cerritos location, have the same menu and hours of operation.
I have been to the Guppy’s in Cerritos twice, both times at night with friends …

All McDonald’s restaurants are the same, right? Sure, there may be a few minor differences—temperature of the food, price, location, service, cleanliness, etc. But overall, it’s still fast food—it pretty much tastes the same no matter where you are at.
However, there are a few things which makes the McDonald’s across from Knott’s Berry Farm so special. Known as The “Big Train” McDonald’s, this McDonald’s is dedicated to trains. From outside, you see a wooden water tower with the McDonald’s logo. Upon entering, you immediate see a small arcade to your …

Centerpointe. La Palma’s business center, built in the early 1980s and pretty much unfamiliar to the non-business community. On New Year’s Eve, my friend, Blair, and I went Geocaching at Centerpointe and while we were at it, we practiced our amateur photography skills and explored the place.
Our first stop was at the Geocache “Pandamonium,” a quick park and grab cache located around Panda Inn. According to the last log, this cache may be missing in action right now, but hopefully it will be back soon. For those who have never …
