It was a tough decision between all of your awesome ideas but I had to narrow it down to two for the contest. (Check out some of the comments here!) Aaand here they are:

2009 is the International Year of Astronomy and in celebration, the University of California, Irvine Observatory is holding three consecutive visitor’s nights open to the public. On April 3-5, from 7-9 PM, the UCI Observatory is free to explore.
You can look through their 24″ telescope to view the beautiful celestial bodies of the night sky, by that I mean look at some of the planets, constellations, and star clusters. In addition to looking through telescopes, there will also be a different lecture about astronomy every night:

We at vitaminOC love tech-related stuff. We also love business cards. Put them together and you get Contxts. Contxts is currently a public alpha service that allows you to create and receive SMS business cards.
The service is pretty simple. You send a username to Contxts at 50500 and you receive a twitter-length message of 140 characters that the user chooses. The second way of doing it is by sending “send ‘recipient’s number’” to 50500. I chose to put my name, mobile, email, twitter, and a link to this blog on …

Held at Ford’s Premiere Automotive Group and Mazda parking lots in Irvine, car afficionados from all walks of life come together to chat about cars and admire interesting and unusual cars that arrive. I really don’t think …

Hi there. My name’s Patrick Tomas.
“The OC”
I’ve been living in Orange County for my whole life, more specifically Buena Park, near the OC/LA border. I’ve come to love Orange County and it’s unique culture, people, and weather. Even though I’ve lived in Orange County for eighteen years, I don’t know the area as well as I would like to. I still haven’t visited many places, mostly in central and southern OC, but I know that will change while writing for vitaminOC.
The Usual
I’m a first year Student at Cal State Fullerton …
