The Hunt for TimTams in OC

Written by on June 6, 2010 in Featured, Food - 4 Comments

Last month I had the pleasure of tasting a TimTam, a chocolate covered malted biscuit originally from Australia, which is full of pure amazingness. The perfect crunch of biscuits, the way the chocolate slowly melts… I really want another pack now. Sorry to hype it up so much, I’m just such a big fan of them now!

The only place I know of now of where to find these Australian biscuits year round is the food section at Cost Plus World Market where they come in at $3.99 USD about $1.50 USD more than the Aussie price. I guess that’s the price I gotta pay for having it imported. Oddly, the TimTams at World Market don’t actually have the name TimTams on the bag. They’re simply labeled as Arnott’s, which is the brand that makes them in Australia. I’ve also heard/read that Target stores carry TimTams under the Pepperidge Farm brand, but only during certain months of the year.

My question is does anyone  know where to get them year-round and on the cheap? Tell me in the comments or @patricktomas/@vitaminOC me on twitter so I can start doing more TimTam slams!

The only place I know of is Cost Plus World Market too. But just last week I bought the Pepperidge Farms kind at Ralphs’s Fresh Fare in Woodbury Irvine. It was on sale for $1.99. They had 3 flavors, but I only bought the caramel and the dark chocolate.
Maybe you can check out other Ralph’s Fresh Fare (more upscale Ralphs) markets.
–I just did the tim tam slam today too. :)

AWESOME! I’ll be sure to check there. Much cheaper too. Thanks Hannah!
