After having a fun filled Friday, a delectable Kogi Burrito on Saturday in Costa Mesa, why not have finish the weekend all JAZZY and spend the evening at Steamers Jazz Club and Cafe to witness one of the greatest Latin Jazz percussionists of all time?

Thats’ right I’m talking about Grammy Award Winner Mr. Poncho Sanchez!

He will performing THIS Sunday August 16th at 7 pm and an encore set at 9pm!

If you have never been to Steamers or a  Jazz gig EVER, it is something YOU don’t want to miss! As an ex-jazz musician, it is a privilege to have Poncho Sanchez perform here locally and often at Steamers Jazz Cafe because he has played with THE best jazz cats including the late Cuban Conga Master Mongo Santamaria and Latin Jazz vibraphonist Cal Tjader. What is really cool about Poncho Sanchez in a personal sense is that his son went to the same high school as I did and that Poncho Sanchez is a proud Norwalk citizen! THAT’S REALLY COOL!

There is a $15.00 cover for his shows and reservations are highly suggested for this event for the BEST seat in the house. (you can make reservations via the website.)

So instead of doing the usual night out at the movies why not spend it at Steamers and have a JAZZY Night!  BTW, if you can’t make it to this event, you can see this and every performance LIVE on your computer on the Steamer’s website! (they use http://ustream.tv, how awesome is that!)
