Downtown Fullerton is hosting a Mardi Gras in July Celebration on Saturday July 11, 2009 in the Fullerton Museum Plaza.  Sounds like a really fun event that is raising money for a really great cause: the Women’s Transitional Learning Center!  The WTLC is a non profit community based organization of men and women commited to seeking solutions to end domestic violence and human trafficking. WTLC is the only domestic violence shelter program in Orange County that provides shelter for clients with substance problems, mental illness and human trafficking victims. Services are available to all regardless of race, gender, religion, age or national origin.

Sound like something you’d like to support?  Then join in on the fun!  The Mardi Gras in July Celebration includes live music by the Dixiedelics and Bonne Musique Zydeco, door prizes (grand door prize is a 42″ flat-screen plasma TV!), a silent auction, Taste of New Orleans, tarot card readings, dance lessons and awesome street performers!  The celebration is from 7pm – 11pm!  Tickets are $25 per person (kids under 12 get in FREE!) and tickets can be purchased in advance online!  For more information, call (714) 871-3100.  Have a great time and grab a few beads for us!
