Best 5 places to See Disneyland Fireworks Inside the Park!
Are you thinking of heading to Disneyland this summer?
The fireworks show is definitely one of the highlights of visiting the park. Personally, I can never get enough of the show! I have watched it over 10 times and I still get the chills when the music starts playing. This summer, the park will have a new fireworks show to go along with their “Summer Nightastic” entertainment. I cant wait to go to the park and watch it myself.
So in spirit of the new show, I decided to share with you my list of my top 5 locations inside the park where you can get the best view of the show.
Here it is:
1. Main Street/ Cinderella Castle
If you don’t mind waiting an hour (or more on weekends) to reserve a spot ( and you aren’t claustrophobic) then Main Street, facing the Cinderella Castle, is definitely THEE best spot to watch the show. The fireworks set off from behind the castle and most of the lights and fireworks are centered at this location. If it is your first time watching the show, then I definitely recommend camping out for a spot an hour before the show. Just bring a blanket and a pillow to sit on during your wait. You will not regret it!
2. In front the “Its a Small World” ride
At this location, there is a lot more room for you to sit comfortably and watch the show. You might miss some of the fireworks that are displayed in front of the castle, and maybe you won’t get to see the flying Tinkerbell so clearly, but at least you avoid the massive crowds and can easily get in and out without trampling over strollers or stepping on little kids. This spot is perfect if you come to Disneyland frequently and you love the fireworks but want to leave quickly after the show to ride more rides
3. The Plaza Inn
This is the pink restaurant is located in the Main Street entrance of Tomorrowland. If you come early, you can reserve a table and chairs and enjoy dinner while watching the show. Some of the the seating areas have obstructed views, so I recommend to arrive in time to pick out the best location.
4. Main Street Train Station-
The only reason this isn’t the #2 best spot, is because sometimes they rope off the station and you dont really get to hear the music. If you are lucky enough to be there on a day that it is not roped off, then the train station has an awesome view! You get to see the castle, and Matterhorn from here. There are some trees that may block your view, but with a little moving around you can get a decent view.
This location is all about timing. You have to get on the ride right when the fireworks are starting. Usualy, but not always, they stop the boat for you to enjoy the fireworks from the boat ride. It is beautiful getting to watch the fireworks from a cannal boat. The downside is that you dont get to hear the music, and depending on the day they might not stop the boat ride for the entire firework show.
Where is your favorite spot to view the fireworks from inside the park? Let us know!
