TITAN HOUSE!
Look out Omaha! The TITANS are coming!
Haha, okay it’s a bit early to really say whether the CSUF Titans will be going to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Yesterday, Utah got a taste of the Titan offensive power with a 18-2 win in the Regional opening game. On his own, Jered Clark had four hits and 3 runs driven in!
This year, CSUF is going for its 7th consecutive Regional Championship. I am confident that going for lucky number 7 wont be too hard for the Titans! We currently have a 43 wins -14 losses record! If we win, this will also be our 18th over all Regional crown! There is only one other team that has won more than us, Florida State.
2nd seeded CSUF will be hosting Regional games this weekend at the legendary Titan House. Today at 7pm, the Titans will be going against the Gonzaga Bulldogs from Spokane, Washington.
Our opponents, the Gonzaga Bulldogs have not had an appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1981! But, they won last night’s game against Georgia Southern, 19-10. With so many powerful hitters, my prediction is that today’s game is going to be an exciting hitting fest!
To kick off today’s game, there will be an “Omaha West” celebration! CSUF, Utah, Georgia Southern and Gonzaga fans are all welcome to come to this BBQ party that will take place on the soccer stadium. You can’t miss it, there will be a “Omaha West” on the floor of the Soccer stadium adjacent to Goodwin Field at CSUF. Meals will be $6 to $9, plus drinks & water for $2. They will also be screening all the regional action on 50 inch screens! This event will take place today AND tomorrow before the games.
Visit the Titan website, for more info, fan their Facebook page, and Follow @CSUFAthletics on Twitter to keep up to date with what is going on. If you attend, make sure to share your pictures with us on our VitaminOC Flickr group!
