I am often surprised at the amount of buzz that revolves around campus for the CSUF basketball team during its season. Most of it is due to the amazing efforts put out by the Orange Curtain and ASI that host different events to encourage students to attend the games. This year the basketball team had a good season, and this is all great! But now that basketball is over …. It leaves me asking, ” Where’s the buzz for Titan Baseball?! “

Okay, so if you read my Staff Bio you are probably thinking – she is a baseball fan, of course she would blog about baseball….  and although that IS true, I am not completely biased either haha!!

Because…. Did you know that the CSUF Baseball team is the strongest athletic program at CSUF? Titans have won FOUR championships ( 1979, 1984, 1995, 2004) and are rated among the nations elite baseball programs! We are currently the leaders in our division – winning 16  out of our 19 games played so far! AAANND 43 Major League Players have played for our school!!

AH HA! so then why is it that there is more buzz around school for the basketball team than baseball? Not that I have anything against basketball, but with such an impressive history- Goodwin Field should be the place to be on friday nights during baseball season! [ha ha ok maybe that is taking it  a little to far, but you get my point!!]

Unfortunately I will not be attending the games this weekend because I will be at Phi Beta Lambda’s State Business Leadership Conference, but if you are looking for something to do during your last days of spring break- I am planning to attend the game vs. UCI on 4/3.
