VitaminTech: Contxts-SMS Business Cards

We at vitaminOC love tech-related stuff. We also love business cards. Put them together and you get Contxts. Contxts is currently a public alpha service that allows you to create and receive SMS business cards.
The service is pretty simple. You send a username to Contxts at 50500 and you receive a twitter-length message of 140 characters that the user chooses. The second way of doing it is by sending “send ‘recipient’s number’” to 50500. I chose to put my name, mobile, email, twitter, and a link to this blog on my Contxt profile.
Contxts is still in its alpha stages but it looks promising to me. It’s simple, easy to use, and can probably be used for more than sharing contact information. You can probably use it as an on-demand shortcode message service. Sorta receiving like a static twitter message. I don’t know. There are a lot of possibilities.
Though I still love the design and uniqueness of business cards, I wouldn’t mind getting a contxt from a person if they ran out of cards. You can try it out right now by txting “pct” to 50500.
For more information you can find contxts on twitter @contxts or visit their website at http://contxts.com/.
