Yes, we can see President Obama this Wednesday OR Thursday!  It’s just a matter of how lucky (or determined) you are!

President Obama will be speaking at the OC Fairgrounds, Building 12 in Costa Mesa on Wendesday, March 18th, 2009 at 4pm.  OC Register’s Total Buzz blog says there will be about 2,000 tickets, some of which have already been reserved for public officals and those related to the Obama campaign.

Tickets to this event will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis on Tuesday, March 17th starting at 10 a.m. at the OC Fair and Event Center,88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa. Please enter at Gate 1 or 10 and park in Lot A.  Parking at the Fairgrounds for the event will cost $5. Please note that security is going to be extremely tight. It is recommended that people not bring bags and limit personal items. Also, NO signs or banners will be allowed at the event.

The President will stick around So Cal for a few days and there are other possibilities to see him.  He will be holding another Town Hall Meeting in Los Angeles on Thursday at the Miguel Contreras Learning Center.  For this one, you must fill out this form on the White House website.  Attendees will be randomly selected and will be allowed one guest.

It’s another long shot, but President Obama will also be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday.  Limited tickets are available, as the show has had ticket holders for weeks, but whatever is leftover will be available on Thursday (the day of the show) on a first come, first serve basis at 8AM at the NBC Ticket Box in Burbank.

Jackie said, “what are you, on an Obama hunt?”  Maybe I am…but you never know if you’re going to get this opportunity to see the President again…so you might as well take advantage while he’s around town!

If you get tickets, let us know!  Valerie and I will be waiting in line at 6am tomorrow morning.  Somebody bring us breakfast (and caffeine!)!
